【First piercing in my 50s】

I am in my mid-50s and had my first piercing.

The first thing I felt was

"a feeling of a straightened spine."

I wanted to be as gentlemanly as humanly possible.

As a photographer, I used to work in rather glamorous fields such as fashion and entertainment, and I am sometimes asked why I am getting my first piercing now.

I cut down everything I could, from work, relationships, possessions, and even my appearance, and lived like a monk for several years.

The shaved head style with long hair that I had been following since I was 19 years old has now been in place for 10 years, and thanks to my monk-like life, I have already overcome the problems I had since childhood and the mid-life crisis I was facing.

I have come to feel that I have a reasonable concept of how to live my life, and one of the expressions I have chosen to express myself in the process of trying to enjoy the fashion part of my life again is earrings.

First piercings after passing one's mid-50s are also quite good.

Thanks to my age and experience, I have a sense that piercing, an expression that is not unusual for many people, is more than just fashion or stylishness; it is "a way of life itself.

The time given to people is finite, and we do not know when it will end.

Therefore, I try to live out my existence and my life itself, even if it is just a small part of my daily life.
